How much proof do you need?

In John 7:31 it says: “When Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?”

The people of Jesus day were asking this question trying to figure out if He was the long promised Messiah. Could He really be the One?! Is it possible? But most of them went on in their merry old way and rejected Him.

What kind of proof are you looking for before you will admit that Christ is Who He said He was? And when will you confess your unbelief to God so you can be reconciled to Him?

Let me ask you some questions? Has anyone ever had such an impact on the world as Christ has had? The church you hate going to because you hate all the hypocrites there, has it ever occurred to you that this might be seeking to represent The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Did you know that He is the only so-called “God” that resurrected from the dead and was seen by over 500 people? All the rest of the world’s religions or “gods” are dead and in the grave. They cannot give you life and peace. They are dead!

Who taught us to love one another? Who taught us to turn the other cheek? Who said “They who live by the sword will die by the sword” and called us to love our enemies? What other “so-called” deity died for you? Who else can forgive your sins? I think you know in your heart the answers to these questions.

So you think that all this stuff just happened and our complex bodies and life just happened to appear out of nothing? Friend, you have more faith than I do! I see the complexity of this life and to me, it all points to Christ Jesus, The Son of God. But you have to answer for yourself the question “Who do I believe in?”
