A Man Who Met with God!

Have you ever met a man who has met God in person?  Well, the Bible says no man can see God and live, but Moses caught a glimpse of Him.  God called Moses up to the top of Mount Sinai and gave him instructions for the people.  How awesome was that for Moses?!  Can you imagine being there?  What was it like to meet with God in person, at least to have  God instruct you personally as He did Moses.

I was taken back early this morning by those thoughts.  What a great man Moses was to have had God call his name and ask him to come up to meet with Him for instructions.  How would you react?  Wow, that would have changed our lives for sure, i.e. to be able to have been there in the presence of God.  God had so much energy surrounding Him that He only allowed Moses to see his back as He passed by.  His glory was so bright that if Moses had seen His face, it would have been to great for him and he would have died right there on top of that mountain.

Now, I know we meet with God and are in His presence when we pray, but you have got to admit, it is not exactly like Moses experience.  Well, one day, perhaps in the new heavens and the new earth we may have that face to face meeting.  I cannot remember anytime in Scripture where we see the Father face to face.  But, I know I will see my precious Lord face to face, Who Himself is God and I am overcome by the thought of that encounter.  To see the One Who died for me, the One Who gave up heavens glory to give His life for me, even now brings tears of joy streaming down my face and I am overwhelmed with emotion at the thought of that experience.

Enjoy your day for His coming is very near and I cannot wait to see Him!  I trust you have made things right with Him and that Jesus has become your Lord and Savior.  If not, please read my article on “Can you answer this question?”  I want you to be saved and know it for sure.  You can always email me with questions.

God bless!
