Do you want to make yourself desirable? Then follow these verses.
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The delicious “fruit of the Spirit” is desirable by all people. When one walks in the Spirit and bears the Spirit’s fruit, people are drawn to see the change that God has made in that person’s life. There is no law against having love or joy, peace and longsuffering, gentleness and goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. They are wonderful qualities that cause us to love that person more easily. This fruit does not repel people but draws people to seek Christ because of how different we are in this world of selfishness, hate, and avarice.
The reason we can bear that fruit is because we have been crucified with Christ. We died with Christ to our old nature and that enables us to walk in the Holy Spirit’s fruitfulness. Sometimes it takes a lifetime of growing in Christ in order for us to disavow our old nature and live in the Spirit, but Christ has made that possible if we will give Him all we have and reject our old life that is still very much alive.
It only is possible through walking in the Spirit. God has made self-control possible through the Holy Spirit and if we will trust Him, reject the old impulses of the flesh, we make it possible for that fruit to grow. Our old nature is represented by the hard ground that makes it difficult to grow. When the fruit begins to grow in our lives then the thorns of worldliness try to choke out the humble fruit. But if we will be faithful and work hard and discipline our old desires, then the Holy Spirit will begin to glow through our lives with His desirable fruit that is pleasant to all who see it and are affected by it.
