Great question that many ask and few seem to have the right answer. Many people try to find value through ethnic origins. There is much ado about getting your DNA examined so you can find out where you really come from because few really know their ancestry from way back.

So what happens is that people from certain countries feel proud of where their ancestors came from and try to find some value for their self. They dress like their ethnic origins. Some who are Irish like to dress up once in a while like they are authentic Irish folk. Some that have a Scottish background dress in a kilt and listen to bagpipes thinking of their old country. Some from Africa dress in clothing that shows off their ancestry. People from India dress in very colorful clothing to show how proud they are of their family heritage.

Psychology will try to mold you through self-esteem programming. They believe that if you think more highly of yourself, you will develop into a confident person and become successful. This is taught in most of our schools from preschool to college years. Psychology promotes mans absorption with himself and ones own ego and pride. It was founded by an Atheist Sigmund Freud who hated God and was dreadfully afraid of dying. Doesn’t seem like it did him much good to be self-centered and sinful. I will approach the subject of psychology some other time and give my thoughts on so-called Christian Psychology.

So where do I find real value in my life that will transform me from the drudgery of my own life to knowing and understanding where I have real value. I must caution you that what I am about to tell you is life changing. It will transform you into a new life and a new lifestyle. It is so awesome that you will be shocked that you didn’t see that in yourself before.

So here is where you find real value. As a follower of Christ, He give you your value and it is the highest value that one can find on this earth. When you repented of your sins and placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He came to live with you in the form of the Holy Spirit and Christ gives you value.

Now, don’t shrug this off because this will transform your thinking and your life. He becomes your success. He wants to life His life through you. How awesome is that!

Now, the devil, yes that old demon, does not want you to understand that significance. He will try everything in his power to blind you to that simple but profound fact that he knows will change your life and leave him in the dust as you march forward with Christ through life. No, the devil wants you to live for yourself. He wants you to look at your feelings and your desires and he tries to sidetrack you from successful living that is only found in Christ Jesus as Lord and the TRUE VALUE in your life.

In closing, let’s me say this: there is no value found in any other person or thing. You can spin your wheels for your entire life being down and depressed, unsuccessful and lowly in spirit. Or you can take the blinders off and take a look at the meaning Christ gave to your life. Money won’t change you. Education will not transform you. Success will not elevate your happiness or joy in life. Only Jesus can satisfy your soul with nourishment from above that will quench your thirst and enable your walk.

Pray this prayer with me: Dear Lord Jesus, God’s only Son. Please forgive me for looking in all the wrong places for value when you are the value that I have been seeking all along. You have taken up your abode within me and my body has becomes Your temple. YOU HAVE GIVEN ME VALUE. What else would I desire but to live my life focused upon your gracious mercy and grace that adorn my soul. Teach me how to live my life with your value and keep me on a righteous paths so that I may always bring glory to you as you have so abundantly brought value to me. In Jesus precious and holy Name. Amen
