What is lacking in our world that God hates?

“Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— both are detestable to the Lord.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭17:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

One of the things God hates is injustice. I was reading another author who said that the worst thing in the world was not poverty or aids, etc., but injustice. Most of the world’s people live without justice. From evil despots to false religions that force people to follow their particular man-made rules or they will torture you or kill you.

That is sad. Again, I state that one of the things that God hates most is injustice. That said, the acquittal of the guy that murdered Kate Steinle is on my mind and heart. Such injustice. So wrong. Such a travesty of justice. That in our nation we have such corrupt judges, lawyers and a jury of our peers, simply put, reeks of the sin that God hates very much.

As you read the Scriptures, you will see that God speaks of injustice often. It was what happened in Israel often. You can see that throughout the history in the pages of the Old Testament. It happened with the Lord Jesus our Messiah. The injustice that was carried out as they railroaded our Lord through the Sanhedrin and Roman courts.

They condemned an innocent man. They stirred up the crowds of people and Satan filled their hearts until they finally all seemingly agreed to carry out a great injustice against the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Yes, Jesus could have conquered them all, calling down 10 million angels or more and been set free and they all would have dropped to their knees and followed Him. But that was not God’s way of inviting people into His Kingdom. Jesus willingly chose to go to that cross so that you and I could have life through His sacrifice. Praise God for His justice and mercy to we who have believed.

Injustice will continue to be part of this world’s system of governing people because Satan is the prince of the power of the air, at least for now. One day he will be crushed and condemned to the bottomless pit and Jesus will reign over this world with righteousness and justice.

We, Christians, look forward to that blessed day but for now, let’s pray for justice to reign. Our world is bent on sinning and disobeying God, but soon that will come to an end. However, let us do our part in this world to carry the torch for true justice and righteousness until Jesus comes.

God bless you. If you’ve never trusted Jesus through faith in Him, I pray that you do that today. You never know how long you have to make that decision. Let God move your life over to the side of true justice and find forgiveness for yours sins and all the things you have done wrong. Find peace and real joy by living on the right side of life with our Lord Who loves you and is calling you to follow Him.

That is my prayer for you.
