You know we will have no needs! Right? On the earth we are a needy people. We need food and we need water or we are going to die. We need sunshine to warm up. We need a place to live to keep out of the weather here on earth. We must labor for money in order to make things work. We need protection from those who would harm us. We fight and struggle every day to get by. We fight with our health and difficult times that come our way. Things on this earth rust and decay, die and things need to be replenished. It is not easy to find peace for very long. Easy living is short lived. Toil and hardships are part of our journey on this earth.

What’s it going to be like when we get to heaven and there’s no need? Here we spend our time fulfilling our needs. But in heaven we will have no needs. What are we going to do? Are we going to have a mansion like the song: “I’ve got a mansion just over the hilltop.”
JOHN 14:2 & 3 says: (John 14:2)  In my Father’s house are many mansions (Gk- a residence): if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (Joh 14:3)  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I think heaven is something we cannot imagine….. NEVER in our wildest dreams could we imagine one single thing that’s going to take place in heaven. But I can tell you that God gave us an idea: he said: (1Corinthians 2:9)  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
So, I can assure you that it’s going to be the most wonderful place to live in and the most exciting place. We won’t be looking for the nearest restaurant to eat in to satisfy those needs. We won’t need transportation to get there or cars because we will be able to transfer wherever we want.
So whatever is in your wildest imagination about what it’s going to be like, it’s not going to be like that. But it’s going to be awesome. You will never be bored. You will never be sad you will never get hungry. You will not sin. You will be excited day in and day out with the most wonderful things and events to take place that God has prepared for his children. No boredom. No exercising. No going to the gym that is. It’s going be something. God knows exactly what we need, and it will be something unbelievably wonderful and satisfying.

Could it be that there will be singing from the most beautiful choirs and soloists. Instruments will be playing and we all will be singing and praising God. The old sin nature will be gone. There will be no jealousy in our hearts, nor secret sins, nor hating someone else. No! It will be a glorious time up there.

My wife added a thought as I was thinking about this: The idea that our government wants to provide for us to make us dependent on them. They want to give us food and water and housing. They want to be God. And hasn’t it always been that some folk have wanted to be God and take over the world to steal and take things away from other people and their countries?

But God is so different. Why? Because he is God! He created humanity out of the dust of the ground, breathed into us the breath of life. No government can do that.

So look forward to your time that is coming to be with your Lord and get excited more than you ever got excited about going to some amusement park or some restaurant or some thing that you thought was wonderful.
We’re talking about God Almighty the creator of all things. He’s going make a way! It’s going to be so cool!
